Hello and welcome to the scriptures are real.

This is the podcast where we talk about elements of the scriptures that have helped them

become more real to us because we believe that that allows us to draw more power from them.

And we certainly need that power.

I'm your host, Kerry Meielstein, and we want to

welcome back, Dr. Andrew Skinner, who has been with us several times, including last week. And we

told you then that we'd be back again this week as we continue to explore the most important

events in the history of the universe.

And that sounds flippant to say, but I actually really mean that.

And we are so fortunate, I think, to have Dr. Skinner to help us to understand those things.

If you were with us last week, if not, I highly recommend you go back and listen to that episode. It was an edifying,

somewhat exhausting. Whenever I really think about the atoning sacrifice of our Savior,

it's both exhilarating and somewhat overwhelming to me. But we had what I think was a fantastic

discussion. And in there we mentioned, and I asked Dr. Skinner to show, he had to go get them and

show them. But the three books that he has written on this subject. And this week I'll show you

the version I have, which is all three of them together.

So this is called the final week, the Savior's final week. And you can see it's got his book

Yosemone and his book Al-Gaatha and his book The Garden Tomb, all combined into one book. And so I

kind of preferred it that way because I just like to have all three of them together. We all have a link for

that in the show notes. I highly recommend it. But besides teaching this for your years, both in the

Holy Land and on BYU campus and elsewhere at BYU, Idaho, he's then given it a tremendous amount

of thought as he's written about that. And so we're
