| 0:58.4 | They were everywhere that I looked for about two days when they came out. |
| 1:03.4 | So let's get a little bit of, in case anybody else is maybe not on the internet too much. |

| 1:09.7 | Yes, the USDA releases new dietary guidelines every five years. And to do that, before the new |
| 1:16.6 | guidelines come out, they have a dietary guidelines advisory committee that reviews all of the |
| 1:21.6 | existing research, any new research since the last guidelines were issued, and makes these |
| 1:26.4 | scientific recommendations for potential |
| 1:28.3 | changes in the guidelines. And so that committee report came out at the end of December |
| 1:34.2 | 2024. And it's a joint effort between the USDA and the Department of Health and Human Services. |
| 1:40.1 | And when that report comes out, it is actually also submitted to the public and available for public comment. |
| 1:46.6 | And so it's between that report and then the public comment that ultimately the USDA and the HHS then author these new guidelines. |
