The work of the Holy Spirit is an unseen work.

I mean by that, he's working beneath the surface.

He's working in hearts.

He's working where people can't see and where people can't do their work.

And yet we certainly see the effects of it.

It's like the wind.

We talked about the Holy Spirit being wind.

You can't see wind, but you can see the effects of the wind.

Well, in the same way today, we're coming to one of the unspoken symbols of the Holy Spirit.

And he is found in John chapter number 15. Now, if you'll permit me just to read

a few verses here, the words of Jesus to his first disciples, I want you to listen carefully, and I want

you to look through the eyes of faith and see if you can observe the work of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, John 15, 1, I am the true vine, and my father is the husbandman.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he take it away.

And every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now, ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine,
