Hey folks, Dan here with some happy news. So back in episode 34 of this show, we interviewed Kaylee

Humphreys, an Olympic bobsledder. And guess what? She's competing in the 2026 Winter Games,

and just yesterday, she won bronze in the monobob. That's the one-person bo Bob sled. That is her fifth medal across five different

Olympics. Did I mention she's 40 years old and just had a kid two years ago? So anyway, Matt and I

thought it would be fun to rebroadcast this episode to celebrate Kaylee's medal. She's so good at

describing what it's like to compete in this sport.

Kaylee Humphreys grew up in the city of Calgary and Canada.

It was a great place for a future Olympic gold medalist in bobsledding to be born,

because there are only around a dozen bobsled tracks

in the world and one of them is in Calgary.

I'm a product of an Olympic legacy.

The city I grew up in had a track.

It was the 88 Olympics bobsled track, which for most people, that's the Cool Runnings

Olympics.

Cool runnings, for those of you who weren't around in the early 90s, was a Disney movie

based on a Jamaican bobsled team that competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics.
