When it comes to social media, what's the best way to get noticed? What's the best way to tackle social media?

Have something worthwhile to say.

I think people don't understand that your product is the most important part.

You can get everybody's attention in the world on a singular tweet,

but if you're not interesting, if you're not smart, if you're not clever, if you're not funny,

if you're not bringing value, you lose.

I think people think about social media technology way too much in the mindset of being a tortoise.

They want to fast. A hare, excuse me. But you need to win being a tortoise.

This is a marathon, not a sprint.

The best way to get noticed is probably systematically over a two to three year period of putting out quality content and value,

instead of having some lucky post that goes viral.

There's been so many flash in the pants.

I don't think, when you ask that question, I don't think people want to flash in a pan moment.

They don't want their five minutes of fame. They want the thing to happen.

They want to be the mayor of their town. They want to build a million dollar business.

They want to raise money for a nonprofit. They have an objective.

Quality objectives take decades, not hours.

And so I think we need to shift people's minds into thinking long term versus short term.
