0:17.7	The 2024 Forbes 30 under 30 list has officially dropped.
0:22.0	I know how big of an undertaking that must be.
0:24.7	Yes, it just feels like a giant weight off my shoulders and like I gave birth to a
0:29.5	baby so I am thrilled that it's live. So let's just start from the beginning here.
0:33.9	Let's talk about logistics.
0:35.7	How do the under 30s get chosen?
0:38.7	So there is a lot.
0:40.4	It's pretty much a whole year-round process.
0:43.0	So we open up our nominations for this North America list in the spring.
0:48.0	This year, I believe it was around March or April.
0:50.0	We got 11,000 people who applied for just the North America list itself.
0:55.0	So our reporters, I have a team of 54 reporters who work on this list with me for all 20 categories,
1:01.0	and we read every single application. We look through them, we vet these
1:05.6	people sometimes will reach out with a phone call, sometimes an email, and that's one way we're
1:11.0	getting candidates. The other way is is with good old-fashioned reporting.
1:15.0	So we're scouting year-round for people in our Beats
1:18.4	who we think are the best and brightest in their categories.
