How would you like to make a trip with no roadmap, no GPS? In fact, you have no idea what the final

0:43.1

destination is going to be. That's the kind of journey that Abraham was called on to make with God.

0:49.8

It truly was a journey of faith. And we read the story of the, at least the beginning of it, in Genesis chapter 12, beginning

0:58.1

in verse 1, where the Bible says, now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country,

1:04.4

and from thy kindred and from my father's house, unto a land that I will show thee,

and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

1:26.5

1:42.0

going to end up in the right place. I wonder, can you trust God

1:45.1

that way today? Are you trusting God that way today? You see, I'm not Abram. You're not Abram. None of us

1:51.6

are called on to be the father of the nation of Israel. And yet, we serve the same God. And I would

1:58.9

suggest to you that the journey we all are on is the journey of faith.

2:03.0

I know that because this story is not only found in Genesis chapter 12, it's found in Hebrews

2:09.0

chapter 11. You see, there's an Old Testament story, but there's a New Testament application,

2:16.0

and it's found in the great faith chapter of the Bible.
