An encouraging report on manufacturing, I'm Nancy Marshall Genser with the Marketplace

Minute. The New York Fed's June Empire State Manufacturing Survey is out this morning.

It's not a blockbuster, but there's some encouraging news. Employment

and hours worked fell, but new orders held steady and companies were more optimistic about

the future than they have been in more than two years.

Minneapolis Fed President Neil Kushkari said over the weekend,

a prediction that Federal Reserve won't cut interest rates until December is reasonable.

Kukari says it depends on the data and the Fed can be patient.

The U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy is calling for a warning label on social media.

Murphy says social media can double the risk of teen anxiety

and depression, but a label requirement takes an act of Congress. And Disney

estimates the new Inside Out 2 film made $155 million at the domestic box office

over the weekend that's the biggest box office opening so far this year I'm
