I am just walking out of Preston's Deepdale Stadium having watched Liverpool Be Preston 3-1, the first preseason game, head of the 25-26 campaign, where we were looking to defend our Premier League title of course but today was so much more

than just getting back to playing football and getting minuten legs and all that stuff it was

everything and really it was a line in the sand moment because the players did get back out on the

football pitch obviously after the heartbreaking tragic, tragic

news of a 10 days or so ago when of course we lost Joko Jocci. I'm just going to quickly pan

round to show you that as well. Lovely touch from the official partners here at Preston and just

while I'm on that topic actually huge huge credit to Preston who themselves in really difficult circumstances I thought they did themselves proud very accurately at the football club as a fan base and giving out three programmes with Diogo Jotter on the front and a mention of Andrei Silver and Diego on the back as well,

handing them out to fans they arrived at the ground before kickoff and touching tribute as well

pre-match, including putting a reef down in front of the travelling cop in the aptly named

Bill Shankly cop as well here out of Deepdale. So yeah, credit to Preston

handle themselves eloquently and sensitively throughout really and I'm sure in the build-ups

through the game and there's probably some uncertainty about whether we'd go ahead did life-rise

as well so yeah huge credit to them while we're on the subject. Ministairnard for the game was observed perfectly as well.

Yeah, really emotional day.

Really, really emotional day for obvious reasons.

Obviously a lot of emotions on the pitch, a lot of emotions post-match.

The six-minute long rendition,

serenading, throw on to a better words, of Liverpool players, the Liverpool staff

after the match was really something like, there's been moments all throughout the day

whereby I felt a little bit emotional, goosebumps, it's happened numerous times,

you never walk alone, the first rendition of everywhere is number 20 when I walked up to where I was sitting.

It were all moments.
