Welcome back. It's the Big Blue Banter, New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Joins always my co-s, Nick Flaud. We want to do a little bit more content for the weekend. Just some like extra thoughts that Nick and I had through the last 24 hours. We've discussed a lot of them with Ken and we discussed a lot of them on the Harbaugh, but there's not everything we've touched

on.

We didn't touch on everything we want to get to with the Giants potential. And most likely, I think at this point, it is offensive coordinator Todd Monkin. So we want to talk a little bit more on Monkin. And we want to get into some defensive coordinator candidates. That's where it starts for Harbaugh, right? Like we know the deal is still yet to be finalized, but that's just because it's a $100 million contract and the lawyers are involved.

It is done. It will be announced. And then next week, Harbaal will have his introductory press conference. But we don't know when the first dominoes will fall with his coaching staff. That's offensive coordinator, which we think is Todd Monkin. So that one kind of has already fallen, but it's not official. Then defense corner, that's the next big domino. So we want to talk about different defensive coordinator candidates who have been linked to the Giants, some by reports with Connor Hughes, some by reports from Ricky the dog, and now Anthony Betts, who also put a report out there as well. I think he put it out there shortly before Ricky, but, you know, kind of wanted to be cognizant of what's going on. And then also,

in addition to all of that, I want to talk a little bit about where they might be headed from a

positional coach standpoint with you, Nick, because I have heard that Harbaugh has worked with

Shane, has liked working with Shane, and actually spent the time to speak with different Giants assistant coaches.

This was something interesting.

He said that the report is, I'm trying to find it now.

They spent 20 to 30 minutes with different Giants position coaches talking about the roster, talking about things.

So I wouldn't be surprised if he came away like, you know what?

I kind of like that Charlie Bowling guy. You know what? I think he might be the kind of guy who I want here on my staff. You know what? I kind of like where we're at with Carmen Bracilla on the offensive line. That might be a guy I want to move forward with. So I don't think that's going to be off the table. I also want to mention this before we get started, Nick, and we'll kind of cycle in some of the other stuff in addition to coordinator talk. I did hear that yesterday Harbaugh met with Jackson Dart for two hours straight. Yeah. So that was pretty cool to read. Yeah, two hours with Jackson Dart. You know, Jackson Dart, just everything we've seen from Jackson Dart in front of the camera, you have to imagine he absolutely nailed that out of the park. And dude, this kid's a, he's 22, isn't he? He's a 22 year old kid who is, who has the weight

of an entire city and the entire New York Giants football fan base on his shoulders.

And he's going to talk to a 62-year-old accomplished coach who was coaching in the NFL when this dude was basically in his diapers.

And he had made enough of an impression on the coach that the coach came to New York, man.

He's going to bring Todd Monkin probably some other positional coaches from Baltimore.
