Summary

Law school stress, colonial ghost tours, and a lingering female spirit with a grudge—what could go wrong? Emily shares her unsettling encounter in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, after a quiet evening walk turned into something far more haunting. Though she saw nothing, she knew something was there—and that it was furious. The encounter left her shaken, unable to explain why this presence felt specifically directed at her. Only later did she and her boyfriend realize they had passed the historic Wythe House, long said to be haunted by Lady Anne Skipwith—a tragic figure whose rage and heartbreak may still echo through time.

has to do with Colonial Williamsburg. My boyfriend and I were one of the first things we

1:05.1

did, you know, when we were friends and this couple is we would go for walks often. And we love to walk in Colonial Williamsburg, particularly in the summer when we had more time off.

1:17.0

We would walk there in the evenings because it's really hot during the day.

1:20.6

And it was always kind of quiet because, you know, there's tourists there on weekends.

1:24.9

More during the day, though.

1:26.3

So it was kind of nice to have the place to ourselves.

1:29.3

Most of the time, you know, it's a pretty haunted area, but like, you know, if you're

1:33.3

just walking through, it's not anything nefarious.

1:35.3

It's not like walking through like a ghostly cemetery or anything.

1:40.3

So we enjoyed it.

1:42.3

But one night, two summers ago, we were walking, and it was like a really kind of

1:50.4

eerie night.

1:51.5

And neither was could really place a finger on why it felt that way.

1:54.9

I don't know if it was a full moon or what.
