Summary

It's Week 4 of lockdown and we hope all you cats and kittens are doing okay. Sorry - blame Carole Baskin. We've been watching Tiger King and eesh, do we feel icky. We discuss why that is and why streamed content is becoming increasingly crass. What does the flatpacking of problematic people into entertainment, reveal about us?

Also today, Dolly interviews the YA and contemporary novelist, Holly Bourne, about her new book, Pretending. They discuss sexual violence, the cultural expectations of sex and romance and why porn is doing women a disservice. And we discuss some podcasts that will help us all navigate what Brene Brown calls "the collective weary".

where a group of me and my friends all linked up on Zoom, got very drunk during a pub quiz,

0:43.0

and then we all muted ourselves. This is the key if you want to do a Zoom disco.

0:48.0

We all muted ourselves other than our DJ, who was our friend Lacey.

0:52.0

And then Lacey just played this playlist of all our favourite songs to dance to.

0:57.0

And it was kind of magic. We all just danced for like half an hour, and we could see everyone in our squares dancing.

And then when people had to leave, literally like we were in a club, you would just see someone's face come up to the screen,

You did Zoom over house party, presumably because the quality of Zoom is much better, isn't it?

1:30.0

Like you and CJ keep disappearing on my house party, everything's very delayed as well. Zoom seems to be the superior.

1:37.0

I'm not wild on house party. I find people get quite pixelated on house party for me.

1:42.0

I normally just prefer to do FaceTime. Do you know what I did do on Zoom yesterday, which was so funny.

1:48.0

I did my yoga studio doing all their classes online. And I did one yesterday that I just I just was laughing so much out the class.

1:59.0

I don't know how much actual yoga I did. Where it was like it was loads and loads of participants.
