I want to apologize to people who are expecting a FACC episode this week.

We are going to do frequently asked questions, but it turns out that I like that idea so much

I wanted to put a little more time into it and do it right, which is, by the way, why

you still haven't seen my second novel, but I promise we will do a FACC episode.

Instead of doing that, we're running my interview with Amy Chosek.

If you are a person interested in politics, you know her name, because she was the New York

Times lead reporter on the Hillary Clinton beat for three years, long before the campaign

even began.

You might also have been seeing her around lately because she's written a book about

the experience of covering Clinton called Chasing Hillary.

And that book is now a bestseller, and she has done the rounds that bestselling authors

do, the morning shows, the late night shows, and other podcasts that I shall not name.

Now I'm not usually interested in talking to someone who has been talking to people

as much as Amy has, but I was really excited to have her on, because I think the conversations

that she's been having about the book, well, they've mostly been about Hillary Clinton.

If they've been about Amy, they've been about how Amy and the Times covered her and about

whether or not Amy has been fair, and they've been a bit about some of the darker aspects

of the campaign that didn't get reported in real time.

The group of toxic male aides that surrounded Hillary, for instance.

But Amy's book, which I loved, isn't just about Hillary Clinton.

It's as much about Amy as it is about Hillary, and they both turn out to be pretty delightful.
