Hey, this is the moment. I'm Brian Coppelman. Thanks for listening. This is the reason I do the podcast.

It's funny, Amortoles was just asking, who's my guest today, was asking me how I split my time.

And before we started, we were talking about the different pulls on our time.

And the reason that the podcast continues to take some of my time is that it gives me the opportunity to meet and like talk to and learn from people whose work blows me away.

And you know, often on this podcast, I have,

I'm talking to friends of mine, people whose music I've listened to my whole life,

but I mean, Am your books a gentleman in Moscow I read first even

though it was your second novel and rules ability I read second even though it was your

first I mean, these books were the buoy for me during the worst of the

pandemic time. And I told you this online, even we don't know one another, but we've communicated,

you know, in the modern world, we know each other a little bit now on social media.

And I sort of talked about the fact that when I was reading a gentleman in Moscow I I'm a very very very fast reader and but I'm forced myself to read that book slowly.

By page 50 I realized that this was my life raft

and this was hearing your story told the way you told it

in that book gave me a kind of hope during this time.

And then the hope I also had was that rules of stability wouldn't suck because that would have just ruined the entire thing for me.

And I loved it just as much.

in a certain way, but I have such deep gratitude for the care and the love you put in these
