Hi there, from CNN, I'm Aaron Matheson, with the five things you need to know for Friday, May 30th.

The Supreme Court has suspended a Biden-era parole program that allowed half a million immigrants

from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to temporarily live and work in the U.S.

This is the second time this month that the High Court has sided with President Trump's

efforts to revoke temporary legal status for immigrants. CNN's Joan Biscupic has the details.

The case is still going to go through the lower courts, but for now, the Supreme Court is saying

that if the Trump administration wants to start deporting people, they can.

Now this follows an earlier order that the court had issued this month that also

lifts protection for a certain group of Venezuelans who are here. It's a signal that

this court is going to continue to allow President Trump's effort to deport people and we'll just have to see how these play out on the merits.

But so far, the signals are really not good for those immigrants

who would like to stay here under the protection programs

that had been written into law.
