On January 7, 2026, Americans had to confront the ugly truth of this country as Renee Nicole Good was shot in the face,

protesting the presence of ice in her neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, protecting her neighbors and friends, blocking what she saw as fascists marching through her neighborhood

to disrupt, to upend, and to destroy the character and the physical bodies of people.

Little did she know she would become one of those.

As an ICE agent masked, shot her in the face, mother of three.

Wasn't the first time something happened in Minneapolis,

Minnesota, where the world had to look and confront America's actual

ugliness when five years prior,

George Floyd had his life taken by police officer,

a law enforcement officer who kneeled on his neck

for more than nine minutes while he cried out

for his mother and for mercy.

America the beautiful, I would. America the beautiful.

I will say America the ugly.

And it's time for Americans, people who call themselves patriots, to stand up and be heard.

I came across a clip from 1942, a movie called Keeper of the Flame, starring Spencer Tracy and

Catherine Hepburn.

Catherine Hepburn, by the way, is one of my favorite actresses of all time.

I grew up watching her.

I absolutely love Catherine Hepburn.

You know, we could talk about Spencer Tracy, but she's the goat, okay?
