I always go back to the the creation of the FHA where they bought out people's mortgages,

you know, when banks were failing and people couldn't pay their mortgages and they extended

the duration of those mortgages and allowed, you know, a million people to stay in their homes.

I would call that a good in the short term. And could they know that that would lead to the 20 and 30 year mortgage market, which

would lead to the securitization of mortgages, which would lead to the housing bubble, which

would lead to the government having to put all of that private debt on their balance sheet,

which would lead to

what, where we are today? You know, I mean, I don't know. I guess I've always come back to the

same thing, which is whether you ascribe intentionality to it, good motives, bad motives, I just

see this as just inevitable either way.

Everything that's happening is just inevitable.
