that really want it and know how to sustain it and can develop a tradition for it. It's a lousy export. You can't just force it on somebody.

That's David Sanger, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist.

He serves as the White House and National Security Correspondent for the New York Times,

where he's worked for over four decades.

He's now out with his fourth book, New Cold Wars, China's Rise, Russia's Invasion,

and America's struggle to defend the West.

In it, he explores how the U.S. has grappled with global conflict, war, trade, and power over the last few decades.
