particularly about the Rededicate 250 event this past weekend on the National Mall in Washington.

Thousands of people appeared there singing praise songs and listening to speeches.

President Donald Trump appeared by video reading Second Chronicle 7 and political leaders and

evangelical figures spoke.

The language was really familiar.

It was America, God, repentance, renewal, one nation under God.

Lots of Christian America nationalistic talking points were repeated,

even pleased by at least one speaker for a billion-dollar White House ballroom for some reason.

All I could think about those. i saw all of this was a friend of mine from back in high school and the way he talked about

american religion this guy was a nominal roman catholic really good guy he told me though that

he saw no point in people arguing about their religious faith,

the arguments that would go on between evangelicals and Roman Catholics. He said that his tradition

and my Southern Baptist one are as far as he could see doing the same thing. And he said,
