America and Iran have the makings of a deal to extend their truce, according to Scott Besant, the Treasury Secretary.

He said that both sides have been exchanging proposals

that Donald Trump has yet to approve. Mr. Besant maintained that any agreement would require

Iran to get rid of its highly enriched uranium, forfeit its nuclear ambitions and fully reopen the strait of Hormuz.

Benjamin Netanyahu said he directed Israel's armed forces to seize at least 70% of Gaza.

The Prime Minister's order would violate a ceasefire agreement that America brokered in October, in which Israel agreed to leave

just over half of the enclave occupied. Meanwhile, Israel continued striking southern Lebanon.

Hisbola and Israel accused each other of repeatedly breaking their truce.

Anthropic and AI Lab secured $65 billion of funding at a valuation of $900 billion,

topping its rival Open AI. That is more than double its previous valuation of $380 billion in February.

Open AI was valued at $852 billion following a funding round that closed in April,

a milestone which took around a decade to reach.

Anthropic was only founded in 2021.

America's PCE price index, the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge rose by 3.8% year-on-year
