1:02.8	too. When most people hear the phrase shooting your shot these days, they think of sliding into
1:10.5	someone's DMs or crafting the perfect chat of line on a dating app. To me, it means to hustle
1:16.7	or make things happen for yourself. I definitely did my best to shoot my shot when I was a teenager,
1:21.6	when I knew I wanted to sing, but I didn't really have the contacts or network. I would
1:25.6	call to email rough demos to producers I'd never met, asking them to meet with me, to listen to
1:29.8	my songs, and to really just give me an opportunity. I'm actually, you know, looking back quite proud
1:35.7	of 15-year-old me for shooting my shot all those years ago. I also kind of can't believe I had the
1:41.2	courage to do that. You know, ever since those days when I see others doing the same, I really
1:46.0	I admire it so much and I love hearing from people who have succeeded by any means possible.
