1:20.3 | look at it there wasn't any real good downy mildew resistance in traditional |
1:24.8 | Italian basil and so what we wanted to do was to try and find maybe a different |
1:29.8 | species of basil something else out there that might have good resistance, but then also be able to hybridize with traditional osmomosilicon, which is a general name for basal. |
1:42.4 | So we started there with a lot of different options. |
1:46.8 | You know, you try a lot of different things |
1:48.6 | until you find one that works. |
1:49.9 | I think one thing about plant breeding is 99% of what you do is going to go in the compost pile. |
