Man, this is really frustrating.

What's going on?

I remember that one friend in hand that I was arguing about Islam with.

Now he's sending the ayat about fighting in the path of Allah.

And it's really hard to respond to this because this is such a touchy subject.

It is a touchy subject.

It is a big subject in the Quran.

And there are two places that talk about this,

to give us a framework in an easy way,

that talk about this in a very subtle way,

and both of those places have to do with the Battle of Badr.

So let's explore that.

Today I'm going to compare two Ayat to you with you. Both of them are about fighting in the path of Allah. Both of them actually have to do with the context of the first battle in Islam,

the Battle of Badr, that happened soon after the Prophet migrated to Medina,

Sallallaha al-a-Shan. One of these Ayat belongs to Surt al-Bakara and the other belongs to Sura

which gives away something to you, something you can remember.

The second Sura and the eighth Sura both deal with the Battle of Badr.
