I'm going to let her tell you a little bit about herself, but this is going to be an important

discussion. I think something that we can all learn from in my research for today. I've been so excited

about having Amanda Tyler on the show.

How are you?

I'm doing great.

For sure.

So my show is unique and its first question.

We usually ask the same first question

to everybody who we bring on the show. And basically we want our guests to walk us through the arc of their careers. And you've had a career in law, public policy, and nonprofit leadership including your current role as

executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty or

BGC. Walk us through the arc of your career since you moved to Washington from Austin, and why have you chosen religious liberty at your vocation and your ad vocation?

I love this question. I love that you frame it as vocation because that's very much how I see my career and my current calling to my job at B. J.C. I think the arc of my career, the lesson to be learned is have some good internships because I did I

interned all the way back in high school when I was in Austin with my local member of Congress.

And it was, I interned in high school

and in college with him and then ended up

serving as his district director and his Ways and Means Council later in my career.
