Tony Busby will be our guest tomorrow morning, he is in depositions all day today. He is bringing a lawsuit against Centerpoint Energy on

behalf of several restaurants who have been terribly harmed with the lack of power.

He made a statement that the restaurants filing this case and the class of plaintiffs they seek to represent are fed up.

None of us in this area has a choice as to who provides us electricity. CenterPoints profits for the

year 2023 were 6.536 billion which represents an average increase of 7% year after year.

And Centerpoint has a literal monopoly.

As such, Centerpoint has a duty to act in a responsible manner, not the

grossly negligent and incompetent way it has conducted itself for years. Imagine if the restaurants filing this

case were to conduct their business in the way that Centerpoint has done.

These restaurants would be out of business. One thing all bringing this case want to make clear.

This case is not about money. It is about forcing Center Point in court to do

with the administrative, legislative, and executive system

have failed to require.

I will tell you this, Center Point Energy does not want to be deposed.

And to be deposed to have a deposition is, of course,

where the attorneys for the plaintiff get to ask questions of those

people being sued and those depositions are in preparation for a trial.

They will first be what are called interrogatories.

They'll send questions and their lawyers will answer them.

But where a good plaintiff's attorney, and Busby's a good plaintiff's attorney, will make hay, is they

get them in this room and they start asking them questions,

including how much they make per year,
