Ronald Reagan had a line about how as Republicans we should not we should paint in bold colors not pale

pastels and when I think of that line, the idea of being bold, I admire that so much.

I see people who are bold and then I see people who are we easily.

And some of those people we easily think that they're

they're principled but they're actually excuse makers.

Kind of their own version of stolen valor.

And it reminded me, it reminds me of an image I have in my head in 1988.

There was an orthodontist in town named Dr. Benny Missola.

And I was friends with their whole family.

The Missola family were very well known and adored in Orange.

And they lived on Meek's Drive, for those of you who know Orange, and Dr. Benny Missola was a pillar of the community, Orange and small town, and everybody knew him.

And his wife Michelle was a LeBlanc and her father was Dr. LeBlanc, who was an obstetrician who delivered half of orange, not me.

I was Dr. Allen.

But Dr. LeBlah, everybody knew, Dr. LeBlah, everybody knew his house on the way to Westco Little League, and on the way

to my grandmother's house and on the way to the D-E-R-A, DuPont Employee Recreation Area, and to

DuPont, you drove right past his house so everybody knew that

he's Dr. La Blas house he was rich and he had a son Nolan who was a lawyer
