Have you been Kirstarmer's political prisoner?

Absolutely.

Free speech is exceedingly important in the UK and it is something that seemingly is diminishing.

He's a human rights lawyer so maybe he needs to look back at what people's human rights are,

what freedom of speech means and what the laws are in this country.

He won't keep me down. Like I said, to all the people that, you know, jeering that I was

sent to prison think it's a good thing, think it's funny, hope that they broke me while I was in there,

but I'm here to tell you that they didn't.

Now the case of Lucy Connolly, the bereaved Northampton mum,

who got a staggering 31-month jail sentence

for a tweet she quickly deleted has been very much championed here on Planet Normal.

Lucy tweeted in the immediate aftermath of the murder in Southport of three little girls

at a Taylor Swift themed dance. And while she wrote was pretty nasty, she did quickly take her

tweet down, and we felt, like so many others, it made no sense to send Lucy to jail.
