I have a confession. And if you're in self-coaching society, you deserve to hear this because I'm like, that's it. I'm giving up this distraction.

It's, you know, it's ruining my creative time. It's, you know, encroaching on my life. It's zapping my focus. My friends, I have, oh gosh, this is embarrassing. I have been spending more time than is healthy on these different little game apps on my phone. I swear it's because

I'm in a writing season and I want a distraction. I want to procrastinate. And those little bright,

bright, juicy, donuty things on my phone, they are so alluring. I've got to tell you, I recognize it, though, in my

brain. I recognize, oh my gosh, I see how smart these game creators are. They really keep us

hooked. Of course, I enjoy it, but I also remain conscious. And my commitment is to make sure

that this is temporary. So right now, I'm playing, I was playing, oh, who even cares

what the names are, but one of the games on my phone, it's really interesting how there are

these cheat codes, right? There are certain things that you can do that allow the game to

become easier. You can certainly pay, which is where I draw my limit. I'm not spending money

on these online games. Okay? I am not. I refuse. I did that once before. But there are certain

things that you can do if you're kind of savvy and you kind of get to understand the game.

There are things that you can do when playing that allow you to essentially leap ahead.

And what's interesting is that these cheat codes, every time I even use one, I feel like,

oh, well, I just kind of got ahead because even the word itself, like cheat, right?

Cheat code, it feels like that's exactly what's happening, right?

It feels like I am cheating. And there is nothing on the

line here. No one can lose. This is a game. It's created by bots, whatever, right? No one's getting

hot if anyone cheats here. But it does lead me to think about how we believe we may be cheating

when, in fact, in our life life we might just be allowing it to be

easy. Hey, did anyone say let it be easy? Think about this. Cheat codes are allowed. It's a game.
