I don't know about you, but this collection has been really powerful for me.

I was particularly marked a few weeks ago by our day of prayer.

And you can just sense something is shifting.

I think it's in the church and so to be in this

collection of calling on god being desperate for god uh it's it's doing something in my heart and in my

soul and i trust it's doing something in yours as well a Leonard ravenhill once said

the only reason we don't have revival is because we are willing to live without it.

And what I sense God doing in his church is we're going, not anymore, we're not willing to live without it.

We are desperate for him.

We want his plans, his purposes in our

church, in the church, in our family, and across the globe. And I love that we are waking up to that

and crying out for God to do something unique and special, something that's so evident from him

that no human could try to take credit for it. It's interesting the word

desperate, Webster defines as having lost all hope. That's a good collection for a church, isn't it?

Or second one, giving no grounds for hope. or third, suffering extreme need. The word itself

comes from the Latin simply means without hope. To be desperate according to Webster and

according to the world is to be hopeless, but not so for us.

Spiritual desperation is coming to a place where we do, in fact, lose all earthly hopes.
