Well I'm so glad to have all of you with us today at all of our different

life churches and those of you in our extended network church family.

We're also grateful for those of you from all over the world joining us right

now at church online.

You are here for the first of a four week message series called

alter ego based on my brand new book.

You may look at it and say is alter misspelled.

Actually this is on purpose ALTAR.

If you know anything about the Old Testament or maybe about history,

you'll know that for centuries and centuries, an alter in this kind of

represents our alter is a place where believers will sacrifice

something meaningful before God or lay something down before God at an

alter.

If you know what an ego is, an ego is who we think we are, who we believe

we are, unfortunately some of us think too highly of ourselves,

something too lowly of ourselves.
