I'm Jack Welch.

And we get to talk about chapters 5 through 7 in the Book of Alma.

And these two chapters have two of Alma the Younger's first sermons.

They are probably the most well-known sermons that he gave.

They are beautiful.

And the first one, Chapter five, is after he has stepped

down as chief judge, he's now reigning as the high priest over the church, and he's going out on a

four-year mission. But he starts right in his hometown of Zarahemla, preaching to those people

there. And the whole lesson is a way of calling them to repentance.

And yet he doesn't really do that. He asks questions.

This is a masterful work of rhetoric because he just uses question after question.

I count 50 questions.

There's only 42 question marks,

but the reason why you get 50 questions is because there's doubles.

Some of them are compound questions.

Yeah.

So the punctuation marks weren't there originally.

Not at all.

So I think we can, and maybe it's 49.
