0:25.7	times before, and I'm really excited to have him with us as we study Alma chapters 5 through
0:31.1	7. Garrett, welcome. Thank you, Zach. I'm really, really excited to be here.
0:44.7	We mentioned last week that we wanted at the beginning of the next couple of episodes to dive a little bit deeper into this kind of study technique that we use in our study records
0:52.3	and that we mentioned quite a lot in our podcast,
0:55.0	which is this learn, feel, do, and become.
0:59.5	And last episode, we talked about what it means to read the scriptures for learning,
1:04.7	specifically learning about God and his nature,
1:08.6	his characteristics, his personality.
1:12.5	And this week we want to talk about reading the scriptures for feeling. We mentioned last week, reading to learn is something we're probably
1:17.7	pretty practiced at. It's, I don't know, it's pretty common or natural for us to read the
1:24.1	scriptures and find insights and connections and patterns and themes. And we're really, really good at that.
1:28.6	But reading the scriptures for feeling, at least I wasn't very practiced at it when I first
1:35.2	heard the idea.
1:37.2	And I'm really excited to it in this block.
1:39.4	And I'm especially excited to do it, Garrett, with you.
1:41.9	Because I learned a lot about my own emotional state just
1:49.2	by talking with you because you're really good at talking about emotions and understanding
1:54.0	emotions. And so I'm glad to be to talk about this part together.
