0:04.6	Scripture Study Insights. Today we're going to be covering Alma chapters 36 through
0:10.3	38. Well this is a real treat to have Shane Reese joined today because he is the
0:16.6	president of Brighamian University and has been for the last, what is it? It's been a year, one year ago.

0:23.6	Absolutely, it's been a year.
0:24.6	And in that year, I just have to share personally my reflections on what I've observed
0:31.6	from President Reese. He has emphasized an alignment with prophetic direction and a focus on the Savior, Jesus Christ,
0:43.3	and helping BYU to – your big phrase is becoming the BYU of prophecy.
0:50.3	Absolutely.
0:51.3	Yeah, when we talk about becoming BYU, I view that as a little bit of shorthand for what
0:57.4	it means to become the Christ-centered, prophetically directed university of prophecy, much
1:03.2	like what you said.
1:04.2	And it's a pretty heavy charge for us as a university who we care a lot about the education of our students,
1:12.0	but we care not just about the academic education of our students, but we care as much
1:18.1	about the spiritual development of our students.
1:20.1	And so that's really the shortened version of what I think of becoming BYU.
1:25.0	That is so powerful.
1:26.4	Now with that idea becoming, that is actually
1:29.5	the lifelong learning overlay that I wanted to use as we cover these chapters, chapter 36,
1:35.8	37 are Alma, the younger, this prophet who's also their mission president, their leader, and he's sitting down with Heelman,
1:46.1	who's going to be the next prophet, and then Shiblon, and he's giving them these instructions,
