1:01.3	cover. This week, only two chapters, Alma 30 and Alma 31.
1:06.0	But those are two chapters that I have been looking forward to. My PhD work centers on anti-religious
1:11.1	rhetoric, the kinds of things people say to destroy one another's
1:14.3	faith. And so my eyes always kind of light up when I get to study an anti-christ in
1:19.0	the Book of Mormon. Whether it's Sherram in Jacob Chapter 7 or Nihor in Alma Chapter 1 or the Antichrist to end all
1:25.7	Antichrists well with the exception of Lucifer obviously here in alma
1:29.4	chapter 30 namely Corohor for years I've been studying polemics, which is the technical term for anti-religious
1:35.4	writing or speech, as opposed to apologetics, which is the defense of that faith.
1:40.4	Alma 30 is a masterpiece. When you watch polemics and apologetics come face to face in the person of
1:47.6	Corahor and Alma. This is not meant to be a Bible bash. That's not what they're doing.
1:52.0	But to clarify belief in the face of very strong
1:55.3	opposition, well, welcome to the latter days, right?
