0:04.0	We're going to begin today with a short discussion about exaltation and actually how
0:09.0	it connects to some of the themes that show up in Alma 30 to 31.
0:14.0	First of all, we're just going to spend some time talking about several words in English and
0:19.0	then in Hebrew and how they show up in the scriptures and what that
0:21.7	might mean to help us better understand various, various messages in the scriptures.
0:27.8	Let's start with the word exaltation.
0:30.4	So, I really enjoy skiing.
0:32.7	I'm not, I didn't grow up in Utah, I grew up in Minnesota, absolutely lovely place.
0:36.9	Not a lot of awesome ski mountains in Minnesota.
0:40.5	So I love being in Utah because we have an awesome ski resort called Alta.
0:45.4	It actually literally just means high or tall.
0:48.0	And it's interesting, it's related to this word exaltation.
0:51.4	And X actually means like out of this world.
0:54.0	So instead of just being high or tall, exaltation. And X actually means like out of this world. So instead of just being high or
0:56.0	tall, exaltation is far beyond. And that's really what God is offering us to take us far beyond
1:02.0	our present circumstances. Exaltation is to take us out of what we know into his realm, far beyond
1:09.0	comprehension. And by the way, the word exaltation is also related
1:12.7	to other words. We use all the time in our language we often don't even think about. The word
1:17.6	Alta is related to the word elder. You can actually even hear it where the A becomes the E,
