The The Now the story still doesn't stop missionary work never does. The converted cannot help that

want to share what's happened to them with other people. And that's exactly

what we see in chapter 20. It's King Lamoni that desires that Ammon should go with

him to the land of Nephi, that he might show him unto his father.

This is not show and tell.

Yeah, I want to show you, but I really want to tell him about what experiences we've just had.

This is an Amman saying, okay, on to the next missionary opportunity. This is Lamoni saying,

you've got to share this with other people. Everybody needs to know. Let's go to

my father who is king over all the land. Now this is a missionaries dream. And textbook missionary

experience. New converts make the best missionaries, right? New member referrals

that he's getting the ultimate one. And yet what's he say in verse two I can't

lemoni the voice of the Lord says thou shalt not go up to the land of

Nephi for behold the king will seek thy life instead go to the land of Madonna, for behold thy brother Aaron and also Mulekai and Amma are in prison.

Now if it were me, as Ammon, I'd be devastated.

I'd probably be thinking about Aaron going that punk can't keep

himself out of prison. Do you understand what you're doing to my mission? I just

converted one Lamanite village and I'm ready to go on convert the next. But no, you couldn't keep

yourself out of jail. And now I got to go back and babysit. I got to bring you out when I should

be doing my mission. That's what I was called to do. Now do you remember when

we talked about Alma and Amulek and the time that they tarried together at Amulex?

And I wondered if Alma was probably feeling anxious,

like, ah, this isn't what I'm supposed to be doing,
