Hello my friends. I am Jared Halverson. This is Unshaken. I'm so glad to be back with you. I've been

spending all day researching 1830s anti-Mormanism. So to pull myself out of that and

be able to immerse myself in the Book of Mormon with you is quite the shift in the positive direction.

Today in fact we are diving into some of the most beloved parts of the Book of Mormon because we're beginning the missionary

chapters. If you remember the parallel structure of the Book of Alma that Joe Spencer

discovered and I shared with you a couple weeks ago, the missionary chapters at the end of the first half of Alma have the parallel

or the parallel, I guess we should say the perpendicular of the war chapters in the second half of the

book of Alma. In the war chapters you get two brothers wreaking havoc,

right, Malachiah and Amaran.

And in this first half, you get two brothers doing incredible things.

Here we have Ammon to start, him of chopping off arms fame, and then his brother Aaron.

And to see what these two brothers, I wish we had more from Omnar and Himnay, I wish we had more stories.

This is a 14 year mission, and we basically

get one scene from each missionary.

A little bit of background, a little things going on,

but for the most part one major

conversion story and man it what's the appetite wishing that we had more than the

one hundredth part when it came to this if you were to go through your old

missionary journals now those who served and that's actually not a bad

invitation. If you want to be reminded of some incredible experiences with God's hand in your life,

then dust those off and see what the Lord did with you. But if you had to
