I started this channel a couple of months ago in hopes of staying connected with my students during the whole COVID-19 pandemic.

been amazed at this growing community of unshaken Saints.

I'm meeting people all over the world and I'm grateful to be able to connect with each of you.

I wish I could get to know each of you personally, but so that you can know me a little bit. My name is

Jared Halverson, like I said. I grew up in Southern California, served a mission

in Puerto Rico, taught at the MTC, studied history at BYU, and then got a

masters in a religious education after beginning to teach for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I eventually ended up in Nashville, Tennessee, running the Seminary and Institute program there,

and dove into a graduate program at the Vanderbilt University Divinity School so I could study American religious history focusing on anti religious rhetoric.

So academically I spend most of my time studying anti-Mormanism, anti-Catholicism, anti-Semitism.

I'm currently finishing my dissertation on anti-biblical rhetoric in 19th century America,

and I'm out to my eyeballs in the things that people have said to try to rob
