I'm coming to you this week from Tucson, Arizona, where I'm hanging out with some MLS teams as they close out preseason.

And joining me is a slightly stuffed up, a slightly sick, slightly under the weather, Paul Tenoria, but he's going to fight through it.

I'm just going to try not to mouth breathe into this microphone. And I do

have my microphone on today. So that's a, we're already one step ahead of,

of episode two. I just had to double check and make sure mine was on. And,

you know, you're a regular mouth breather anyway, so I don't see how this would be any

different.

But I digress.

Obviously, there's a lot of news going on in MLS.

And while we typically like to kind of have fun and keep it light on this show,

the biggest story in the league right now is not so fun and not so light.

And that's FC Cincinnati, former head coach now, Ron Yans, resigning from the club after allegations emerged last week that he

used the N-word in front of a group of players, you know, from what I've been told and from what

other folks have been told, that, you know, those

allegations are true. The context of them are not exactly clear. Yons, according to sources,

told Cincinnati higher-ups that he was quoting a rap song, but MLS Players Association

executive director, the big boss, Bob Fuse, came out in a very strongly worded statement and hit back at that idea earlier this week after news broke of Yons's resignation.

So obviously there's a lot to unpack here on a lot of different levels.

But I think we should start with the most important thing.
