that we live in.

Earlier this week, when the MLS Players Association released the updated list of

players salaries for the 2021 season.

They, of course, released a list earlier this year.

April 15th, I believe, was the release date.

So that was right before the season began.

There have been a significant number of new signings and new contracts to current players,

holdover players, since then.

So a lot of new information, both in terms of how much teams are spending and how much players are making and all of that stuff.

So we're going to dive in on that today.

And we're going to take a few, we're going to answer a few listener questions as well that we solicited on Twitter from that topic. So yeah, that's, that's what's on tap. Paul, I don't know, did you dive into these numbers? You're sort of, you're sort of working. You're sort of not working. So, you know, I don't know how much time you spend in that spreadsheet, but, you know, we're going to put you on the spot.

I don't know if I should go public with the fact that I'm on like a quasi paternity leave, considering the recent paternity leave controversy.

Was there a controversy?

Yeah, there were some politicians that were saying that paternity leave is, is, uh,

for a certain subset of weak men, uh, to use essentially.

Yeah.

You know, I certainly, I certainly don't, uh, I mean, if the shoe fits.

Yeah, well, I, uh, I wouldn't, uh, I wouldn't trade in, uh, any of the time I've had to spend with my two kids for, you know, for example, writing this salary story with you.
