Paul, it's been a week since we spoke.

I wish it's been a week since we spoke, just a week since we spoke

in this venue, my friend. We talk every day, especially during a L.S. Cup week on the weekend

we speak. Way too often. And we've gone on this journey together, my friend, of this last

week. And there has been a journey, certainly.

For those of you listening to the show, you already know this, but the Columbus crew are

MLS Cup champions. They defeated the Seattle Sounders 3-0 at Mawre Stadium on Saturday night,

five whole nights ago as we sit here recording on Thursday night. We're not going to spend a ton of time on the game just because, you know, at this point, I'm sure you've had your fill of MLS Cup content, but it's only appropriate that we rehash at least a little bit of it. And then we're going to get into some of the moves that are happening around the league. And we're going to finish the show with a little bit of opening the mailbag, do a little bit of Q&A, that listeners, that you listeners,

were so kind to send us in on Twitter. So thank you for that. But first, MLS Cup, Paul, your thoughts.

Give me the big takeaways. What did you think of the match? What are you going to remember from this

game when we look back at it years down the line?

I think what I'll remember is that it was one of the most dominant and complete performances

that I've seen in a championship game from Columbus,

considering the fact that they lost two of their three best players in the week leading up to the game, in the days leading

up to the game, and then responded by absolutely dominating a team that was better than them.

So I'll remember that response.
