There are two things you should know about me.

Thus, when I saw a shaggy boy using his thumb on the highway, a tactic often used by serial killers,

I surprised myself. I broke my own rule, and I pulled over.

His name is Ethan, and he's hitchhiking across the southern United States to Texas. It's kind of an

experiment, said the innocuous ball, the facial hair, to see if folks are nice enough to help a

complete stranger like me.
