As the Democratic Party has decided to experiment by moving the California primary up to

Super Tuesday next year from its usual position in June.

This is a huge development in many ways.

Generally speaking for just quick history, the both parties have favored having early

primaries in relatively small population states on the grounds that this equalizes the

money advantage between candidates.

Candidates can actually go door to door and I would know Hampshire and even to some extent

in South Carolina they can make personal contacts, personal appeals spend a lot of time generating

enthusiasm among small groups as a kind of synectarchy for the larger parties feelings and what
