In the US, perhaps you know, we are a lot of us,

I shouldn't say all of us, but a lot of us I shouldn't say all of us but a lot of us are pretty

zeroed in on a national election that is coming up in a couple of months

70-ish days or so, if you're counting.

And I don't really know if you want to talk and think and read about it,

or if you really don't want to talk and think and read about it.

Honestly, I am pretty torn myself and have been for the last few months and this is kind of my job. I have a degree in political science and a graduate degree in public policy and that is the field that I have been working in for my day

job for the last 15 years and I still don't know how much of this political chaos I want to absorb.

So on today's show we're going to try to find the best of both worlds.

I've got one book for you if you're some level of an election nerd or just looking for kind of some more information about it.

And one book for you if you want to ignore it completely.
