And as you could probably hear in my voice, it is spring here in the Pacific Northwest.

And what does that mean? My sinuses are rebelling. It is so gorgeous. There's just so many beautiful flowers and plants coming alive.

But oh my gosh, my allergies absolutely hate it. So I feel like I sound really kind of froggy and croaky.

My voice gets a little pitchy at times. I apologize, y'all. I tried to have all kinds of warm tea, and this is just what we're working with today.

But, you know, my offering to you in return is that I'm going to tell you about two really fantastic books.

So that's worth it, right?

The first book is a rom-com. I think it's safe to call it a rom-com. It's just a very, very, very funny romance by an

author who I've come to be able to rely on very consistently. It's got a road trip. It's got romance.

It's got just all kinds of side character hilarity. And I can't wait to tell you more about it,

even though I have talked about it on the main show, but it's been years. So we're just going to refresh our memories here.

And the second pick is a cookbook, which I don't usually talk about on the show, not because I

don't want to. I just kind of forget to. But this one is one that I definitely want more people

to get their hands on because it makes just some mouth-wateringly craveable food. And it's one that

I have been actively excited to cook from and that

have reached for a lot in everyday cooking, which for me is a thing I was very much missing from

my cookbook collection because your girl likes to sort of accrued cookbooks and then forget

to cook from them because I haven't been great about picking ones that I can sort of just

do everyday cooking with. Anyway, I'm going to tell you about most of those books. But before I do
