No, mine.

It seems to be one of the first phrases we learn as children.

It may be a favorite toy they are clinging to, perhaps a bit of food you try to take off

with their plate, but the response is always the same.

No, you can't have that, it's mine.

I wonder the reason.

Is it a fear of loss, a lack of control?

Why do we seem to be wired to claim ownership?

Well this meditation from Psalm chapter 24 is a contemplation on ownership.

Collecting on how to change any old claims of possession, surrender ownership, transferring

a claim from your hand into the hands of the Creator.

So to begin your meditation, find a place to be humble and reflective.

And begin by posturing your body with your hands open in your lap, open as a sign of

release.

Just feel now the weight of your eyes closing.

Come aware of your breathing.

And begin to move deeper now into the divine presence of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
