Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here, and today we are talking about an all-hands meeting from

0:11.8

Elon Musk last night with Tesla.

0:13.6

We've also got China production numbers for May and some reports on June targets.

0:17.8

We got more information on the new 4680 Texas made vehicles, a NITSA investigation escalation,

0:24.4

and quite a few other items that's a pretty jam-packed news day today.

0:28.5

In the markets as well, with Tesla finishing down 9.10% after being up almost 5% earlier in the day,

0:34.3

so I got a lot of those 5% interday swings, of course the NASDAQ fell off during the day as well,

0:39.7

ended up finishing down to 3.4%, and then of course Tesla closing at $719 on the day.

0:47.8

So kind of the big news for today, we have kind of a few items that fall into that category I would

0:51.5

say. We'll start off with that all-hands meeting from yesterday. So apparently,

0:56.4

electric obtained a recording of this and throughout the day they've been sharing out snippets

1:01.0

that they have found noteworthy from that recording, and we're going to start off with Elon talking

1:05.9

about this quarter. Of course, we know that Tesla gets into these quarterly wave delivery cycles

1:13.2

where they're delivering a lot of the quarterly production in the last few weeks of the quarter,

1:17.0

and Elon was asked about that at the all-hands meeting, and he responded saying this has been a

1:21.3

challenge since late 2008, as long as Tesla's been delivering vehicles is pretty much saying

1:26.5

there always seems to be something that happens and causes the end of quarter to be nutty, and this

1:30.0

quarter will not be an exception, mostly because we had this huge challenge with the COVID restrictions

1:34.3

in Shanghai, basically shut down Shanghai Factory for much of the early part of the quarter,

1:38.1

it is only now getting back to full production, it will be pretty intense this quarter. So like I

1:42.9

said, we'll talk about Shanghai production here in a second, but I did want to touch on one other

1:46.6

part of this article that did seem to cause a little bit of confusion. At the end here,

...
