Do you ever feel like you're just waiting for things to get better? I mean at some point,

We've all been there. We've all had those thoughts in our mind. And when you come to Psalm 34,

that is exactly where David is living.

He is moving from place to place and person to person, just trying to survive, just trying to make it and figure out where to go next.

In fact, when you come to Psalm 34, David, who has been on the run from King Saul, has gone

to Gath.

He's gone to Himalek, the priest, looking for answers, looking for help.

He'll get the sword of Goliath. He'll get a few provisions. But he gets driven away even from there.

It's like he can't find a place to light. There's no place to rest. You ever feel that way?

Like at some point, you're just hopeful things are going to settle down,

but they don't seem to settle down. You would think a man like David would be just totally in despair,

that there would be a tone of despondency. But instead, here's how Psalm 34 begins. I will bless the

Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Now, I don't know about you.

That doesn't sound like a man to me who's living under the circumstances.

That sounds like a man who has his eyes on a God who is greater than his circumstance.
