What's up everyone? Welcome back to the show. Today we're going to talk about honey. We're going to talk all about honey. What do we need to know about it? What are the different types? Where can we get it? Where should we get it? And also what can we use it for in the garden? So without further ado, let's go ahead and just get right into the episode for you guys. Honey, which

is obviously one of the reasons why a gardener might be into bees, besides the pollination factor.

And so, hmm, what can you tell us about honey?

Oh, honey. What can I tell you about honey?

Well, honey has kind of evolved over the past couple of years.

A lot of people are wondering what the big deal with like raw honey is and why that's so amazing. So as we know kind of like the bee populations going down, and a lot of people still want their honey, they want to buy honey.

So a lot of places that, I mean a lot of overseas places are starting to kind of produce their own honey. It has

honey somewhere in it but a lot of it is packed full of high-fruitose corn, and they're claiming it as honey.

And there was like, I think there was even a test,

and I, shoot, I wonder where I got this information. So somebody had done a test where they had

taken 60 honey products from supermarkets and grocery stores and they were

testing it and they only found that like it was 75% of them even had traces of pollen in it like be

any honey at all. Exactly like it's and so the benefits that we get from

honey are you have to be very careful with where you're buying your honey.

And the benefits you can get from honey, I mean these bees are going from flower to

flower to collect all the nectar and with that I mean, mean you as a gardener know that how beneficial

plants are to giving us all our resources and nutrients that we need well this is just

kind of like a little bit of like the cherry on top of all that wonderful plant life is that they have, they're packed full of antioxidants, they can help with allergies, they can help with, there's been whole studies on how they can help with

infertility and the list goes on and on and I think if you if you believe it

honey can probably cure it but some people get so

hippie about it which is so great in my opinion yeah but I'm always sort of of two

minds about that because I kind of operate in between, you know, obviously
