Welcome back. It's the big blue banter. New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier.

0:05.9

Join as always my goal. It's Nick Falado. Today we're here to break down the Giants all 22 offense on the all 22 coaches film.

0:12.3

And finally, we got a fun film to watch. And I say fun with obviously, you know, expectations are lower, which makes it more fun.

0:20.9

You have Tommy DeVito and it's not like we're watching Patrick Mahomes or Johnny these other quarterbacks, but for what it was and what the expectations were, I don't see how anyone could come away from watching this tape, Nick, and not be like, I had fun. That was fun. It was interesting. The Giants look good. And I think it all starts for me, Nick, and you can jump in after

0:37.9

this, but it all starts with me, for me, with the game plan. And we'll go over it as we get through

0:42.9

this, but this was, in my opinion, the best called game of the year from Mike Kafka. And what I mean

0:46.8

by call this situational play calls, calling plays at the right time to maximize things. So there's

0:51.9

a difference to me between scheming offense and having a good scheme for a game and a game plan for a game and then having those right situational play calls. I think Kafka and Daible had both in this game, but there are very specific play calls that, in my opinion, were really damn good in the right spots, third and one shot play where they didn't just try to go for the sticks. There's plenty them throughout this game there's also good scheme and game plan and that's where it starts for me

1:14.9

because I was impressed with the fact that the giants I didn't see the stat until today Nick and

1:20.2

some incredible stat Jacob Gibbs went over this with me on beyond the box score giants led the NFL in

1:25.3

situation neutral pass rate in week 11.

1:28.8

And essentially what that means is in situations that are neutral in the sense that you

1:33.7

could go either pass or run as far as what is the best option over time from an advance

1:39.2

analytics standpoint.

1:39.9

The Giants went past more than any team in the NFL, which to me just says so much about

1:45.3

confidence, the confidence they had in Tommy DeVito's ability to operate a past first offense.

1:50.6

And how did he respond, Nick?

1:52.2

Well, he became the first Giants quarterback in four years since 2019 to throw three

1:57.4

touchdown passes in a game.

1:59.1

He had explosive plays in this game, plays that went, you know, beyond the sticks.

2:03.4

You know, the Giants earlier quarterback of the year, Daniel Jones, led the NFL in percentage

2:09.0

of throws short of the sticks.
